God allowed this man to be born blind to display HIS glory! Imagine, years before in the plan of God he knew exactly
A word about disabilities and sickness.
All these things are ultimately the result of the fall, but they are NOT necessarily the result of individual sin.
Three reasons for chronic disability or sickness:
It can be a result of sin (James 5:15; 1 Corinthians 11:30; David)
A means to mature us in Christ, depend upon His strength (Paul’s thorn)
Part of God’s plan for our lives to bring glory to God and bring us to Christ.
Often, the things we see as disabilities or hindrances when placed in the hand of God become instruments of His grace in our lives.
Jesus created “new eyes” for the man from clay!
Jesus the Light of the World, demonstrates that he is Creator, and Lord of the Sabbath.

Courage and Conviction in Conflict (8-11; 24-25; 30-31)
Jesus changed his life in a way that was noticeable to all (8-11).
Jesus gave him courage in the face of conflict - his testimony was proof of God’s power.
The Jews wanted to argue pet theology in order to discredit Jesus, instead this man shared his personal testimony.
Amazing grace! I was blind, now I see!
Don’t be surprised when the unbelieving world does not understand what God has done. Don’t be shocked with unbelieving religious people try to minimize the power of God.
Don’t underestimate the power sharing your testimony of God’s grace in your life.
His experience gave him conviction that Jesus was from God.
He was amazed by what Jesus had done in his life! This had never been done before!!!
He was amazed at the religious leaders’ blindness to the truth.
“You do not know, but he opened my eyes”
“If he were not of God he could do nothing.
His conviction of Jesus made him willing to face rejection and an uncertain future.
It meant being forced out of the center of both religious and social life.
It lead to a loss of income in many circumstances.
It signified that he was already identifying with Jesus.

Jesus always seeks those who are his.
Jesus brought them man to complete understanding of His identity.
“Where is He that I may believe?” “Lord, I believe!”
When you have your eyes opened by the LIGHT OF THE WORLD the result is faith and worship!
