Breaking the Cycle of Rejection 2

It’s never what we go through in the life that the enemy is interested in but its how it leaves us. Because what we go through can leave internal scars of hurt, pain, abuse, hostility, alienation, betrayal, dejection, and abandonement. A scar is just the body way of telling you that something was there and you need to be more careful the next time because it took it lot to get over that.

David is rejected in this season on every side. David left rejection at home to experience rejection in the world. But what David doesn’t do is repeat the cycle. We oftentimes settle and repeat what happens to us rather than become the one that breaks the cycle. I may not can always control what happens but I can stop it from becoming a cycle.

We can break the cycle of PAIN, HURT, ABUSE, HOSTILITY, ALIENATED, BETRAYAL, DEGRADED, DEVALUED, DESERTED, OFFENSE - THE CYCLE OF REJECTION!

JUST LIKE BLESSINGS FLOW DOWN, SO DOES HURT! SOMETIMES THE VERY PEOPLE PLACES AND THINGS IN OUR LIFE THAT ARE DESIGNED TO PROTECT US IS WHAT ENDS UP HURTING US. UNINTENTIONAL REJECTION. WELL MEANING PAIN.

YOU ARE FRAGILE AND NOT EVERYBODY KNOWS HOW TO CARRY AND HANDLE YOU. WHEN SOMETHING IS FRAGILE THEY WILL PACKAGE IT DIFFERENTLY. TELL YOUR NEIGHBOR I’M NOT CRAZY I’M JUST PACKAGED DIFFERENT. PEOPLE DON’T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE YOU WHEN YOU PACKAGED DIFFERENT.

We are the generation to break the cycle. Because of the anointing that comes and break it so that it cannot be put back together again. We live in a universe that has been designed with seasons and cycles. Genesis 8:22 and Ecclesiastes 3:1. Be not weary in well doing for IN DUE SEASON you shall reap if you do not faint.

God in his eternal wisdom knew man would sin and thus would be thrown into a sin cycle. That is why Jesus Christ had to come because we were in a sin cycle. Jesus had to come and die in order to break the cycle. Sin was passed down from Adam to Moses and then also upon every individual through the power of a cycle. That is why he says to Adam you will die.

David is the fifth generation. He is the 8th. The anointing rests upon the lowest. God resistes the proud but gives grace to the humble. When you are humble God gives you stuff you don’t deserve because those who are talented and gifted don’t have the humility.

WHAT YOU CAN DO IN THE BATTLE IS BASED ON WHAT YOU BEEN DOING BEFORE THE BATTLE

You never see DAvid praying or praising in chapter 17!! Why? Because already prayed before the battle. Many people wait until they get in trouble to pray. Many people wait until their circumstances are dire to pray.

EVERY DAY WE WAKE UP WE OUGHT TO WAKE UP SAYING THIS IS THE DAY THE LORD HAS MADE i WILL REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT. I WILL BLESS THE LORD AT ALL TIMES. I’M PRAISING HIM BEFORE THE BATTLE. BECAUSE WHAT YOU CAN DO IN THE BATTLE IS DETERMINED BY WHAT YOU CAN DO IN THE BATTLE.

When you already know God’s voice you are familiar with his voice in the battle. He hears a lot of voices in the field, many echos. But when you already familiar with his voice before the battle you recognize his voice in the battle.

DON’T ALLOW YOUR PAST REJECTION TO DETERMINE YOUR FUTURE PROJECTION

We see this with David and king Saul. King Saul places or “projects” his armour upon David that was fitted just for him. We often times allow the experiences and pain from our past to project our present experiences to the point where we make people in the present pay for what someone in the past has done.

So we don’t allow those whom God has sent into our lives (remember David is there because he was sent on an assignment not because he chose). But because someone betrayed your trust in the past now you have all these barriers and coping mechanisms in place to ensure this won’t happen again.

You promised yourself you would never allow this to happen again. You beat yourself up. But what we cannot see in the spiritual world is that we have constructed a prison that in our mind is designed to keep harm out but in reality, not only does it not keep hurt out but it keeps hurt in. It nurtures and actually reinforces the pain. Because prisons don’t have filters. They don’t know what to open to and remain shut to. So you raise children who have to same insecurity issues. You put them in the same prison you are in because in your world it's the best way for this never to happen again.

DAVID’S AUTHENTICITY - David wasn’t happy faking it! This is key because the very nature of breaking a cycle suggests you can’t be a part of what already is! Are you just going to walk and move in the way things already are. We can’t break the cycle being the cycle! JESUS SAID “IF YOU ARE NOT WITH ME, YOU AGAINST ME”.

God blesses authenticity. David said I don’t want to risk missing my blessing trying to be something that I’m not YET! David was about to be King. Don’t allow someone to push you into your season before you are ready. You can’t force seasons. Just because you get the things that’s in the season doesn’t make it your season!!

YOUNG PEOPLE DON’T TRY TO BE YOUR FUTURE SELF TOO SOON!

David was not saying he was never going to wear it. He was just recognizing that it wasn’t his season to wear it. Sometimes you have to be humble and close enough to God to know when it's your season for certain things. That’s why David was in syncronization with God. You have to be able to admit I’m not there yet. I’m not where I want to be but I’m not where I use to be.

DAVID’S ACCESS - Your miracle is never in something you don’t already have or have access to. Sometimes God will position you to where you have access to the blessing but you have to set it into motion. God has set the shift within our reach. Tell your neighbor it's within reach. We can set the atmosphere for change but we have to vote. God may not lay the miracle in your lap but will give you access to it.

5 STONE MINDSET

Leaders have a different mindset. If you put them in the back they will work their way to the front. If you put them at the bottom they will work their way to the top. If you put the last it won’t be long before they are first. The cream always rises to the top!

Your mindset matters! David had just enough to do what God wanted him to do. That is why sometimes we become so weary because we are not using our energy on the right things. Essentialism - You got 5 stones and 5 giants. We don’t have anything extra!

David got more than one stone because he believed he was going to be in more than one battle. David had a revelation that God was more than just a God of one area of his life. Some people believe God should just remain a Sunday morning church God.

One meant he was getting just enough for this battle. Some believers in the church they just want just enough of God for now. They don’t make any provision for future battles. They just want Sunday morning church or Sunday morning Sunday school.

DRESS FOR SUCCESS

COMPARING VS COMPETING

David did not compar or compete when it came to his talents. God allowed David to come up in the pasture to break the addiction of the comfort of belonging! There is no better feeling that the comfort of belonging. But David sais “In His presence is the fullness of joy”. VALIDATION DEFINES WHAT YOU CAN LOSE AND STILL HAVE JOY.

People can accredited you but not validate. Accreditation is just adding but validation is who you are. So if somebody removes themselves from you yes it hurts but you don’t lose your joy. Because you are still VALID AND VALUABLE!

YOUR GIFT MAY BE DIFFERENT FROM ANOTHER GIFT BUT IF YOU ARE ADDICTED TO THE COMFORT OF BELONGING THEN IT WILL CAUSE YOU TO LAY ASIDE YOUR GIFT AND LIVE SOMEBODY ELSE DREAM THROUGH YOU!

Comparison is something we do by nature. It's purposeful when healthy. Adam through comparing saw that the animals were not like him.

The problem isn't comparing it's Competing

When we compare we the copy. We think success can only happen one way which is a scarcity mindset. Jennifer Hudson and Phantasia both made it but different paths.

But we become addicted to the comfort of belonging.Only the lamb was able to come and break the cycle. No man was found who could come and break the cycle. Jesus came and broke the cycle if sin and death.

DAVID GOT BETTER BECAUSE OF THE ANOINTING ON HIS LIFE

DAvid did not carry his chapter 16 over into his chapter 17.

David is already validated because he’s been rejected and hurt in the past but he doesn’t allow the past to define his future. Many people go around dodging the future because of how somebody treated them in the past.

But never make people in your present pay for something that someone did to you in your past.

Love like you never been hurt.

WHEN YOU ARE ANOINTED YOU WON’T ALWAYS FIT IN.

Saul asked David to put on his armour. Remember Saul is head and shoulders above everyone else. He is tall. But David is short and is a teenager. So obviously it doesn’t fit. That’s why you can’t serve God through someone else’s armour or life. But you have to find out for yourself. I know the Lord will make a way!!

Watch this. David had never worn armour! David had never been in a fight! Because God had always fought for him. When you are walking in tune with God you don’t have any battles to fight. God will fight for you. But because we are so in control over our lives we have to fight for ourselves and that's why we always have our armour on and we don’t know who to lay it down and who to pick it up because we living in a time now where we don’t know who the enemy is!!!

David wa saying I have been in a lot of battles but I never had to fight them alone. I won’t encourage somebody just because you are in a battle you don’t have to fight when you know Jesus! See God will allow you to fight it if you think you can do it.

I am not talkign about walking around feeding people with a long handle spoon. That’s not of God. This is someone changing love into something that fits their picture of what love ought to look like.

The bible calls them out saying these are they who separate themselves having not the spirit and their god is their belly. Meaning that they are not being led by the Holy Spirit but have made up their own rules for how they will love.

IN THE NEXT CHAPTER ALL THE PEOPLE ARE CALLING DAVID’S NAME. GOD WILL ALWAYS HAVE SOMEONE TO VALIDATE YOU WHEN THEY WON’T!!!! GOD ALREADY HAS SOMEBODY ELSE WAITING TO CELEBRATE YOU!!!

IF YOU CAN TOLERATE IT GOD WILL ELIMINATE IT!!! IT'S ABOUT TO BE A CELEBRATION FOR PEOPLE WHO BEEN TOLERATED!

IT WAS IN THE SCRIPT! YOUR VICTORY WAS FORETOLD IN THE BEGINNING!!

Until you grieve for what you did not have and let go of desired expectations, you cannot focus on what you can have.

Before you were formed, there was a plan already for your life. God planned ahead before you arrived. Your journey on earth wasn’t an accident. It didn’t take God unawares. Neither were there too many people for Him to notice you. He’s been on your case before you got here. He had everything all planned out and waiting before you took your first breath, just like He had the garden ready before Adam arrived. Here is what He said about you in the book of Jeremiah.

YOUR REJECTION IS YOUR VALIDATION

VALIDATE YOUR ACCEPTANCE - when one door closes it means another door is already open. When become frustrated bumping our head against doors that God has closed. If it doesn’t fit you can’t force it. Thank God for everyone that rejected you. STONE THAT THE BUILDERS REJECTED HAS BECOME THE HEAD OF THE CORNER.

VALIDATE YOUR SIGNIFICANCE -

VALIDATE YOUR CONFIDENCE - cold world can send you into a shell. But rechannel liberate. Gives people permission around you to be confident. Confide with you. Confidence is contagious. Talking down tells someone you’re not on the same level.

VALIDATE YOUR RESILIENCE - Resilience comes from scars. Scar means something was there! I’m over it now! Some things you ought to be over now. built in power to get past this. The devil can’t understand all that he has put on us we are still here. David said I was attacked by lion and bear. Goliath was an indicator. Of your future!!
