1 cor. 6:11
1 cor. 6:11
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
we are not merely introduced to God by Jesus Christ for an interview but we are to remain with him as part of his household
Verse 3
We have grace to endure trials without sustaining loss or deterioration. We are like sliver and gold when refined
Grace is Favor is being pleasing in the sight of God
Verse 4
Experience is trials
Verse 5
The love of God is in our hearts
The power of the Holy Ghost
Verse 6
Without Strength weak, dying, helpless to resist sin and do good, and powerless to deliver from misery
we enjoyed these things because we thought we were having fun this was our old self
how many people do you know that are in this stated right now?
Christ die whiled we were yet sinners; He gave us a way out
are you ready to give someone a way out?
How much more will he do for us since we have been reconciled
Think about it he gave his life so that we could be free and now we need to pass it on
Verse 10
Changed from enmity or enemies to friendship
we have no reason to boast
verse 11
That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
What does all this mean for us
God has taken all of our sins away if we have given him all of us and let him come into our lives
and now it is time to carry out the great commission
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
This is how we go about carrying out the ministry of reconciliation
This is highly important because it is a command of Jesus
Many of has promised God we would do what every he said but where are we with what we promised
