Prayer for the Event

2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV
if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Acts 2:42 NKJV
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Acts 4:24 NKJV
So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: “Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them,

Focus: We want to prayerfully be prepared, broken and fully expecting God to work!

1. Enlist a prayer team.

a. Identify those who are committed to prayer.

b. Not just those who like to talk about prayer.

2. Develop prayer emphasis.

a. What activities are we going to do?

b. Planning of the activities.

c. Raise up workers.

d. The day of the event

e. Decisions for Christ

f. Follow-up

3. Keep adjusting the prayer focus throughout the process.

a. As things change or might change keep the team updated on how they can pray.

b. No detail is too small.

4. Use them to encourage others to pray. (Prayer Team is not the only folks who can or should pray.)

a. Sunday Morning Prayer Service (ARVBA Day of Prayer)

b. Designated times of prayer in the service

c. Small groups praying

5. Pray during the event.

a. Have a prayer team at the church praying or calling one another praying together.

6. Pray after the event.

a. Give names of those doing follow-up.

b. Give names of those who are being followed up on.

7. Celebrate all that God does in answer to your prayers.

a. Rejoice with the team and the church on how God works and answers prayers.

8. Continued use of the prayer team.
