Last week was the 19th anniversary of 9/11.

The farther we get from it, the less of a big deal it is.
Yet I keep seeing NEVER FORGET posts on social media.
I watched a clip I have seen many times of President Bush throwing out the first pitch in the world series and the crowd just started chanting USA USA

My heart broke because we have forgotten.

In 19 years we have drifted a long ways from that.
Teams are now kneeling or at best not present when the national anthem is played.
The police officers who were once heroes are now the enemy.

We don’t need an outside enemy to destroy us we are destroying our own cities.

A police officer who’s life is in danger shoots someone and there are riots.
Someone shoots to police officers sitting in a car and nothing happens.

We have destroyed our families we have destroyed God’s plan for marriage.

Satan is now destroying our churches.

We are divided over wether or not we should have closed church or opened church.
We are divided about masks.
We are divided about social justice.

I look at my country… the land I love and I see it being destroyed.

What do I do as a Christian?
Ho do I deal with this biblically?

That’s what is on my mind today!

Stick around.

Reminder #1 - People are not our enemy.

Ephesians 6:12 ESV
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
We need to see the as lost people.
We are attacking those God set in place to rule over us.
We are attacking race.
We are angry at people who think differently than us.
They are not the enemy!

Reminder #2 - We knew this was coming!

Simply because the world is deteriorating.
It is full of sinners.
It is Satan’s domain.
The truth is going to get twisted.
Write is gong to be called wrong and wrong is gong to be called right.

Reality check: I love America but this is not my home.

Philippians 3:20 ESV
20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
It is time we start fighting for a kingdom that will last.
In Mathew 16 Jesus promises to build His church.
That promise if for any time and any culture.
That means the Christ is building His church today.
The dumb things we are dividing over don’t matter!
The enemy is using this to distract us from the great commission.

Christ builds His church using 3 things.

Scripture.

Churches need to preach the Word.
Believers need to be in the Word.
Our lives need to be saturated by and driven by God’s Word.
