having faith in god

how strong is your faith?

Joshua 1:9 KJV 1900

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

i want to look for a few moments at on particular verse of scripture and go into detail of it and kinda give you different examples in the bible of different characters that showed how strong there faith was.

for example look at Abraham in (genesis 22:1-14) when god told him to sacrifice Issac as a offing back to the lord. and we all know the rest of the story how god provided a lamb because he seen how faithful he was to him.

another example is in (Daniel 3:14-30) of shad rack me shack and abendigo when the king has them thrown in the fire and how god showed up and protected them from the flames.

before i give you a few more example of those int he bible having faith i want you take a moment think back in your life or here recently when you had to have that faith and trust in God?

do you remember how you felt was you kinda afraid or scared where god was going to take you or how the outcome was going to be.

well tonight i want you to know that you don't have to worry because there is a god in heaven who is bigger than any of our problems we face and if we have faith and trust in him to see us through those trials and hard times.

just a few more examples of people showing faith and trust in God look at job, and all that he went through when the devil asked god to turn him over to him and the lord told him he could do anything but kill him. And he lost everything his kids, his livestock,his farmland, everything. His own wife even told him to cures God and die for all that has happened to them. but job stayed strong and trusted god through it all and god blessed job for being faithful.

so in conclusion as i begin to wind down for tonight i want to you to think about and remember how god helped you through the the hard times and how your faith and trust were put to the test.
