II. You must make a declaration to explain your decision, v. 8b.

1. This sets you apart.

2. This starts your accountability.

III. You must maintain determination to see the matter through, v. 12-13.

1. Refuse short cuts.

2. Refuse detours.

IV. You must display dependence by remembering that you are not alone, v. 9; 17-21.

1. I will depend upon the support of others who are like minded.

2. I will depend upon the favor and compassion of those who make decisions concerning me.

3. I will depend upon the blessing of God.
