S-Lk 9:20 (NLTSE)

Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?” Peter replied, “You are the Messiah sent from God!”

O-Jesus first asked His disciples, "Who do the people say I am?" Then He asks, "Who do you say I am?"

Jesus changes the question from a poll of the people at large to a direct and personal question.

With the upcoming election for President. We see the constant polls coming in and it has an effect on the popularity of the candidate.

With Jesus it comes to a personal decision, Who do you say I am?
