Let Us Pray

Between Gethsemane and the Cross

Intro: Life is a journey, and just like any rods that you travel thee are some uneven places. Life is unpredictable just like a curve in the road you don’t know what might happen in a curve.  We can be up today and down the same day.  There are some hard places in this life and all of us are subject to be confronted with a hard lace sooner or later.  Hard places, unpredictable places and uneven places in life show up in the form sickness (cancer, diabetes, Aids or heart disease) loss of a job, loneliness, disobedience and death.

Hard Places – David was at a hard in his life in this text, it was his Gethsemane.  Gethsemane means oil press and olive oil was a money crop for the Jewish people it was used for cooking, anointing and to sooth the skin.  It was place of cruelty as well.

Gethsemane is a place of Frantic

A place of surrender to God
