Children are truly wonderful.
No wonder Jesus said:
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Let me tell you why children are such powerful examples:
1: they are very ignorant. Children dont often know the why’s of life. They dont know why they have to get injections. they dont know why we abondon them at schools. They dont know why we make them play or partake in spots and games where they can suffer defeat. they dont know why we make them eat certan foods and deny them thier favorites. they dont know why we make them take yucky medacine. The list goes on.
But at the same time their needs are also very siomple. If Bella or any child has to go somehere scary or unpleasnet or myabe under4go something painful - all they want is one thing: They want you to go with them.
If you, as their parent, as the one who loves, cares and protects them, goes with them - they find the courage, even in their ignorance, to go on.
When they are saced, they want to be close to you. Your prersence makes them feel safe.
When they are sad, they want you to hold them. Your presence makes them feel better.
My friends, one day God called Moses to do a very difficult, dangerous and scary job. He told Moses to take the millions of freed slaves and lead them over the desert to the promised land.
Moses was pretty ignorant as well. How was he goies to do this? Where would they find water? Where was the food goinf to come from? Where would they sleep?
God, knowing Moses’s fears tells him something prescious that we all need to hear from God:
12 And Moses said unto the Lord, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.
13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.
14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.
Like a young child, Moses must find peace and comfort in the Presence of God.
And you what? There is such wonderful joy in his Presence.
11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: In thy presence is fulness of joy; At thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Being alone is such a feeling of hoplesness and helplesness.
It makes you vunerable as well, the roaring lion often attacks the sheep who are alone.
But God wants us to know that we are never alone my friends.
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
In his presence there is joy, and in his Presence there is strength.
27 Glory and honour are in his presence; Strength and gladness are in his place.
The Christian who reminds himself often of the presence of God always has sufficient stregth for the task at hand.
Like a child finds strength and courage in the presnece of the parent, so the christians finds strength and courage from the presence of God.
When younf David stood before the might Giolath, David courage was found, not in Sauls aurmor, not in the sword, not in his skill, but in God.
45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
David knew that when he stood against Giolath, he did not stand alone, but he stood with God.
God does not shield us from lifes pain, but he with us iun lifes pain.
20 Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: Thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.
When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego where arrested for refusing to worship Idols, God did not stop or prevent thjem from being thrown into the furnace.
But, he was with them in their trial.
8 Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the Jews.
9 They spake and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever.
10 Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden image:
11 And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth, that he should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
12 There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
13 Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. Then they brought these men before the king.
14 Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?
15 Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.
17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.
18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
19 Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.
20 And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
21 Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
22 Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego.
23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellers, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
How do we bide in the presence of God? What makes God’s presence go with us?
1: It is not religious works.
2: It is not because you are a good person.
God’s presence is with us ONLY through Jesus Christ.
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Jesus said:
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Special Forces Motto:
The more you sweat in peace timer, the less you bleed iun waretime.
The more time you spend in God’s presence in peace, the less afraid you are in tribulation.
6 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, Call ye upon him while he is near:
