II. It is assumed that the Christian will have a place of prayer. ("Enter into thy closet.")
III. It is assumed that the Christian will be very personal in his praying. ("Shut thy door.")
IV. It is assumed that the Christian will desire the fellowship of prayer. ("Pray to thy Father.")
V. It is a promise from God that he will reward such praying. ("Father will reward thee")
New Living Translation Chapter 6
6 But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
