It’s important that we take a little hiatus here before we talk about these next few verses that talk about the next 3 petitions in this pattern for prayer.
If you’ll remember, the first three petitions were all God-centered (Hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done) and the second set has more to do with us and our needs.
But it’s vital that we understand the balance of faith in our prayers to ask for what we need vs the “word of faith” movement that is so prevalent today.
We must be very careful to presume anything upon God. We must be careful not to think that we can “command” God to do anything for us.
