What to do on the 7 Day Challenge:
1) Fast
2)Pray
3) Serve
Why we fast: The central point of fasting is training for self-control
2 Peter 1:6 ESV
and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness,
Galatians 5:23 ESV
gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
1 Peter 1:13 ESV
Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Fasting fosters humility, reliance on God, compassion, gratitude, and self-control.
How too fast: When you fast, use the time that you waste on the things of this world to spend time with God in prayer, worship, reading His word or a devotional.
Options to Fast:
Everything Fast (only Juice & Water)
Daniel Fast (fruits, vegetables, & water)
No Meat Fast
1-Meal a Day
Eat after 4:00 pm
Time stealers… (TV, social media, internet, hobbies, etc.)
Things you depend on (coffee, caffeine, sugar, etc.)
Things to Pray for:
Pray that God would show you, you’re God given Purpose (You are Somebody)
Pray for those who are close to you, would realize they have purpose on their life as well.
Pray for Word of Life International
How to Serve:
Call someone and encourage them
Bless someone by paying for them
Do something for someone else
Help those less fortunate
*Fasting from food is the most obvious way to fast. However, you can also abstain from other things. For example, watching television or using social media can consume too much of our lives. That central place belongs to God alone.
