You are righteous!

2 Corinthians 5:21 AMP
For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].
What do you understand from the Phrase, “you are righteous”
Many Christians today are experiencing guilt and condemnation because of feeling not been in right standing with God. The feelings are there because of a lack of understanding of what Christ has done for them. this causes believers to continue to experience feelings of guilt and condemnation when sin against God. the result is that they miss out on many of the blessings God has for them,

What is Righteousness?

It is the gift that God gives to every believer to stand before him worthy morally sound and without guilt and condemnation of sin. therefore believers must never say they are unworthy to stand before God.

Righteousness is a gift from God

Man righteousness is diametrically different to God’s.
Man’s righteousness depends on doing right to stand before God worthy. E.g. Pray and read my bible everyday so that God thinks more of me, I am now in His good books. Man’s righteousness is that of always trying to impress God.
This what Paul calls works:
Galatians 2:16 KJV 1900
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Living by the principles of the law (doing practices to be right in the sight of God) your walk with God will be up and down, happy then sad. furthermore you experience feelings of guilt, condemnation and full of fear of missing heaven. this contrast with having the liberty God has for them:
2 Timothy 1:7 KJV 1900
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Galatians 5:1 KJV 1900
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
The law of Moses demands a curse fall on all those who do not keep perfectly Deuteronomy 28:15-68. Paul in
Galatians 3:10–11 KJV 1900
For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
Says that it is evident that all who live under the law have not made right (justified) in the sight of God.
God’s righteousness is a gift that he gives when you believe in Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:17 KJV 1900
For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
If you understand what God has declared you righteous you will be able to come to God with:
without experiencing the feelings of guilt and condemnation and if you sin because he does not look at you differently because of your sin. Your sin is on Jesus and you have been declared not guilty because of the blood of Jesus. this why in church songs are sung about the blood of Jesus. we also love him because he died in your stead.
Romans 5:9 KJV 1900
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
you are free from sin and condemnation so that you may become the servants of righteousness:
Romans 6:18 KJV 1900
Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
God’s righteousness says you read your Bible not to make God love you more but you do so because you are loved. You witness not to impress Go but because His righteousness is working in your heart.

We receive God’s righteousness by faith in Jesus:

Romans 3:21–24 KJV 1900
But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
in practice you must believe what Christ has done for you and confess it out daily:
Romans 10:10 AMP
For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.

Jesus Bore our sin

We humans owed God a debt of sin that we could not pay so He sent His son to take the sin debt on himself because He loves us St John 3.16
1 Peter 2:24 KJV 1900
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
With the debt paid all believers can stand before God in right standing.
Once you have left behind your own righteousness and received God’s you can fight the good fight of faith and come before Him without feeling:
because you are in right standing with God in your approaches to Him there will be no fear because god is for you and He says Come to the throne boldly Hebrews 4.16
Romans 8:31 KJV 1900
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
1 John 4:18 KJV 1900
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
inferior to spiritual forces of the enemy around you because we are joint heirs with he man Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:17 KJV 1900
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
you have God’s DNA ( 2 Peter 1.4) in you so the life you now live you live by the faith of God
Galatians 2:20 KJV 1900
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
2 Peter 1:4 KJV 1900
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
if you mess up there is continual cleansing through the blood of Jesus:
1 John 1:7–9 KJV 1900
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Your prayers become more effective

James 5:16 KJV 1900
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
your prayers are more effective as you now come to God boldly with a cleansed heart that does not condemn you
1 John 3:21 KJV 1900
Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
Some may say that means I can sin all day an be okay but the word of God says, the way you know that god’s righteousness is working in you and that you are saved is that you don’t sin
Romans 6:1–3 KJV 1900
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
You enter a classroom for your 1st day on training, uni or school and you are told you have passed with an a all you have to do is finish the class. Your results comes from what the past A* student did for all that would come to the school.
We do righteous things because we are righteous not because we are unrighteous and have to earn it.
we do not pray to become righteous but righteous people pray
we do not go to church to be righteous but righteous people go to church
we do not tithe to become righteous but righteous people tithe
we do not walk in love to become righteous but righteous people walk in love
