Numbers 13:26–33 NIV84
26 They came back to Moses and Aaron and the whole Israelite community at Kadesh in the Desert of Paran. There they reported to them and to the whole assembly and showed them the fruit of the land. 27 They gave Moses this account: “We went into the land to which you sent us, and it does flow with milk and honey! Here is its fruit. 28 But the people who live there are powerful, and the cities are fortified and very large. We even saw descendants of Anak there. 29 The Amalekites live in the Negev; the Hittites, Jebusites and Amorites live in the hill country; and the Canaanites live near the sea and along the Jordan.” 30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.” 31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” 32 And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size. 33 We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.”

1. The Lord is the Promise Keeper

All of His promises are yes and amen
God always keeps His word
He will say what He means and mean what He says
He is not a man that He should lie
His word is Truth
If He promised it, it will come to pass

2. Keep your eyes on the evidence

The Lord does not wait for things to make sense to bless you
The Lord is not waiting to be allowed to show you evidence
We need to open our eyes to the evidence
There is evidence of His promises
You are alive because He is not done with you
God is working things out even when you don’t see things working out

3. The But Giant paralyzes you with doubt

He wants you to look at the challenge
Moses was not willing to obey because he had a But Giant
Obstacles change things
Hearing the BUT activates
Discouragement
Doubt
Despair
But I can’t teach
But I don’t have time
But I’m not strong enough
But I’m not smart enough
But I did not have the same opportunity
But I am the wrong color
But I’m afraid
Get your BUT out of way

4. The courageous take possession of the Promise

Be courageous and go forth
You need courage to be blessed
You need courage to try
You need courage to fight for what is yours
You need courage to better yourself
You need courage to swing

5. Keep swinging the But Giant will fall

You must believe that you can
Swing by Faith
Swing in Faith
Swing with Faith
If God promised it, swing for the fences
If God promised it, no weapon formed will keep you from what is yours
If God promised it, it is done
