Revelation 11:15–19 NKJV
15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” 16 And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17 saying: “We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, Because You have taken Your great power and reigned. 18 The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth.” 19 Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.
Today we see the last of the Seven Trumpet Judgments.
The seventh trumpet sounds and its fanfare is what is heard by John, while its result is the pouring out of the last seven vile judgments of God.
And yet, there is a parenthetical pause here in revelation that encompasses the next several chapters, where God reveals some most amazing truths and scenes.
Today we look at what John says he heard and saw when the seventh trumpet sounded.

I. He will overtake every earthly kingdom.

Verse 15 - “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”
Regardless of how powerful, or large, or evil, or corrupt, or even how wonderful, godly, or benevolent, The kingdoms of the earth will become His!
The deception of Satan is to convince mankind that God cannot provide, what he can.
Remember that Jesus while being tempted in the wilderness, was offered something that was never Satan’s to give - the kingdoms of the world!
Political parties will be obliterated.
News will be replaced with truth.
Self serving interest will be done away with.
Idolatry will be destroyed.

II. He will be praised and worshipped by the saints.

Verse 18 - “And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great,”
Because we understand what real goodness is.
Because we know Him who is righteous.
Because we desire pureness and holiness.
Because we have seen the light, and the true life, Jesus Christ!
Because we stand now in opposition to everything evil that does not bring glory to God.
Psalm 30:5 NKJV
5 For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.

III. The heathen will continue to hate Him and be judged.

Verse 18 -”The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged…and should destroy those who destroy the earth.”
Why would anyone hate God?
John 7:7 NKJV
7 The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil.
Jesus of course was speaking here to His brothers of His household, who did not believe in Him.
But when He speaks to His chosen disciples -
John 15:19 NKJV
19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
The world hates God and will hate Him even more in the tribulation period, when God will reveal their evil works.
Rather than conform to Him, they will harden their hearts as those who have gone before them and will go into judgment.
Conclusion:
I will remind you that this book is a future attestation of what is to come, not might come!
We are neither fearful because of these things nor complacent.
No! We are the voice of reason and prophecy to the world now!
We must occupy til He comes!
We must warn of the impending judgment that is coming!
We preach Christ as the only way, truth, and life!
