Would you agree today that the church has become complacent. We have become satisfied with the way we carry out our obligations to God even though we do them with mediocracy. Let’s face it, during Covid and pre Covid, the work of the church has become a burden for most and even though we’re a team, we often let the work fall on others while we complain. I believe, much complaining has spread throughout the church and has killed the moral of some of the people. People no longer have a reverence for God, because His approval is no longer an interest of theirs, if it has ever been. Some have been bamboozled by popular culture, others by cutting corners and others by poor work ethics.

Doing One’s Best

This is the most important step to receiving God’s approval.
You have to do with intense effort and motivation.
You have to be especially conscientious in discharging an obligation.
Taking pains, suffering as good soldier in Christ.
You have to be meticulous in carrying out your obligations in the Lord.
What does that look like.
V. 4 says don’t get entangled with civilian pursuits since you aim is to please the one who enlisted.
You cannot allow yourself to be hindered by being or becoming involved in some task or role to the point that it interferes with other activities. to the point where it renders you immobile.

Rendering Oneself Unto God

Jesus received God’s approval at His baptism.
