Repentance. †“Repentance” may represent only regret or remorse over a past thought or action (Heb. nāḥam; Gk. metamélomai), but in its fullest sense it is a term for a complete change of orientation involving a judgment upon the past and a deliberate redirection for the future (Heb. šûḇ “return, turn back”; Gk. metanoéō “have a change of heart, repent,” metánoia “repentance”). As such it is the subjective human experience involved in conversion (epistréphō).
Faith. †Human belief in and reliance upon the divine.

The New Revised Standard Version The First Sin and Its Punishment

6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made loincloths for themselves.

8 They heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden at the time of the evening breeze, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the LORD God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?” 10 He said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself

The New Revised Standard Version Paul Speaks to the Ephesian Elders

24 But I do not count my life of any value to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the good news of God’s grace.

The good news was that God was bestowing his unmerited favour upon, was being gracious to, the human race.

The gospel is good news, not good advice. The gospel is not primarily a way of life. It is not something we do, but something that has been done for us and something that we must respond to.The gospel is not good advice about how to live; it is good news about what God has done. Pastor Tim Keller
N. T Wright states: Paul lived out the message of the gospel as he had understood it, the message of God’s grace, which isn’t primarily a theory but an image-bearing way of life.
GD GREER writes: Get this: That is spiritual progress-To grow in awareness of the depths of sin God has saved you from is growth in the gospel
Are you growing in your awareness of the depths of sin God has saved you from?
Mark W. Baker writes:
“Guilt and Shame are both bad feelings. Guilt is a bad feeling you have for doing something you should not have done. Shame is bad feeling or regret for being an inadequate person. Guilt is about what you did. Shame is about who you are.”
Today is the day to stop hiding.. come as you are…come taste the grace…
