The land of Gilead is Manasseh- Reuben and Gad (East Jordan)

West of the Jordan- Judah, Benjamin, and Ephraim

Interesting note- God names 7 different countries that He had delivered them from, but the Zidonians and Maonites aren’t mentioned anywhere else.

Lessons to be Learned:

One does not have to be famous and renowned to be used of the Lord

Complete departure from the Lord will result in severe chastisement of the Lord’s people

The Lord grieves for His people when their sins get them in a place of great suffering
