Hardening of The Heart

Scripture: Ephesian 4:17-21

Ephesians 4:17–18 NIV

17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18 They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.

Ephesians 4:19–21 NIV

19 Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed. 20 That, however, is not the way of life you learned 21 when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus.

Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy is a disease known as the hardening of the heart. When this happens the heart stops functioning and can go in to cardiac arrest. In order to revive the heart electric power is needed to give it a shock. The heart would begin to beat again. Those people who have issues with their hearts are asked to sign a consent. One of the option is “Do Not Resuscitate”.

Hardness of Heart

Ephesians 4:18–19 NIV

Physical Hardness of heart can lead to death, it is the same way spiritual hardness of heart can lead to spiritual death. Our spiritual heart needs to be revive also. In order to revive the patient, everyone must clear the bed. We cant live the same way the world lives.

Revival Power

COVID, those who said that mask were not necessary and that they know more than all the scientist and doctors, where are they today?

Ephesians 4:20–21 NIV

20 That, however, is not the way of life you learned 21 when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus.

Ephesians 4:22–23 NIV

22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds;

Ephesians 4:24–25 NIV

24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. 25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

Romans 12:2 NIV

2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Where renew is,put revival of your mind. There are people that will not be revive because they choose not to.

Do not Resuscitate

Revelation 3:20 NIV

20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

Conclusion: I have spoken to you about what it is like to have hardening of the heart and what is needed to revive it, but you have to decide whether you want to be revived or are you saying, “Do not Resuscitate” to God?
