Dictionary Definition of HOME

Pertaining to a place where one lives.

True Meaning of a HOME

A deeper meaning of a Home pertains to the atmosphere under the structure in which one lives. An ideal home posses an environment that provides an enjoyable, happy place where an individual or a family can live, laugh and learn. It's somewhere where you are loved, respected, and cared for. When you look at it from the outside, home is just a house. A building.
Proverbs 24:3–4 NASB95
3 By wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established; 4 And by knowledge the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches.
Both substance and structure is important. Both are afforded to us by the grace of God. As Christians we attribute everything that we possess, immaterial and material, as coming from the Lord. We work hard but it is God that causes the increase. We learn this principle in tending plants.
1 Corinthians 3:5–7 NASB95
5 What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, even as the Lord gave opportunity to each one. 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth. 7 So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth.
Through scriptures we are taught that God provides, the sun, moon, stars, the air we breath, the material things we own, members of family and most specially eternal life that is only found in one else but Jesus Christ.
Philippians 4:19 NASB95
19 And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
This structure that we are in is from God and because of that it is just right to thank Him as the provider, for His blessing. God supplies us things from big or small, trivial or trivial, and material or immaterial.
House blessing, dedication, or warming is basically a celebration of thanksgiving for God’s provision. When you thank God you are acknowledging God, His being, His generosity, goodness and grace. It is part of worshipful life.
Thanking God does not stop when this celebration is over today. Gratitude is a matter of attitude that needs to be carried out through the duration of residency. But since God provides us with everything our attitude of gratitude to God should be a lifetime sentiment. Our life should emanate the thoughts behind the words penned by Thomas Ken which is part of a song we refer to as the Doxology.
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost

What is a DOXOLGY?

It is an expression of praise to God

PRAYER OF DEDICATION

Our gracious and Holy God, we join the Poloyapoys today in one accord to thank you for continually providing a dwelling place where they can come to rest and recharge from the challenges that they will face daily, a place where they will continue to honor through prayer and the studying of scriptures. We also pray that you help them continue create memories of love, joy, peace and happiness that they can look back and smile and once again say PRAISE GOD for those memories. In as much as there is a cost for everything we also pray that you will continue to provide for their financial needs. With the pandemic that we are going through today many of us have been affected financially. We see this time as an opportunity to trust in you after all you are God that provides and also are our creator. Thank you for the promise you have given to your people in recorded Deut 31:6 and that we also embrace as a promise you have for us in today’s generation:
Deuteronomy 31:6 NASB95
6 “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.”
God, thank you for loving, thank you for providing and thank you for caring. May your wisdom, love and knowledge continue to grow and be lived out this place and among the family, in Jesus mighty name we pray, AMEN!
