2 Kings 13, 2 Chronicles 25 - Grace

Experience what you Don’t Deserve (1 Kings 13)

Israel’s victories over Aram can only be explained by grace (vs23).

The hope of being treated better than we deserve is the greatest we could have.

Our eternal salvation is only by grace (Ephesians 2:5).

Instead of reducing life to what we deserve, we must lean on God’s grace.

Experience the Unlikely (2 Chronicles 25)

Amaziah doubted victory and so looked for solution (vs6).

He had to choose between a man-centered way or depending on God (vs7-9).

Again, this was a victory that could only be explained by the grace of God.

We should not settle for what’s likely when the power of God’s grace in unimaginable.

Stepping out on Your Own (2 Chronicles 25)

Ahaziah then decides to step away from relying on God.

His arrogance leads to disastrous results (vs19-24).

We must humble ourselves to continue to rely on the grace of God.

Grace exists only in Jesus Christ (John 1:17).
