Prayer for our Community
Lords Prayer
1st Corinthians 11 starting in 17
Colossians 4
Mathew 6:7 He taught us to pray through the Lords prayer
Pray with persistence
1 And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.
9 And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Doesnt have to be a long prayer. Just talk with Him
Pray with passion
Prayer is powerful so it shouldnt be done without passion
Jesus always prayed with passion, He knew the one that He was praying to and He knew through His will it would be done
1 In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilene,
12 In these days he went out to the mountain to pray, and all night he continued in prayer to God.
29 And as he was praying, the appearance of his face was altered, and his clothing became dazzling white.
Pray with thankfulness
20 giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
4 For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,
Pray making intercession
12 Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many,
and he shall divide the spoil with the strong,
because he poured out his soul to death
and was numbered with the transgressors;
yet he bore the sin of many,
and makes intercession for the transgressors.
on the cross jesus said Father forgive them for they know not what they do. he interceded
34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.
