In Brief
In Brief
Having looked at the overview of A Transformed Life in week 1 and then the need to look at our own stories and identify wound patterns and sin patters (Weeks 2&3) and having seen that our story is ultimately a part of God’s Story (Week 2) and that it is in Jesus that we are transformed (week 4) now we can begin to get into the process of transformation in three very practical ways.
There are three we will look at for the rest of the series:
True Healing
True Repentance
True Appropriation
All of these involve Beholding Christ, as we saw last week, but also include taking hold of Christ!
In order to deal with our sinful hearts we need to learn the repentant pathway.
In order to heal from our wounded hearts we need to learn the healing pathway
In order to walk in ever-growing freedom and Joy we need to learn how to appropriate God’s power into our lives.
These are three key ingredients to how we practically experience transformation in our lives.
None of them happen apart from Christ’ work for us.
All of them require us to respond the the work God is already doing in us
God works in your what he has worked for you.
God initiates, we respond.
Today we will cover an overview of these three processes thought what I call the Redemptive Pathway.
