Why I Want to Go to Heaven

It is prepared by the Lord Himself

Reserved for His own. Not a used place. Not handed down from others, but prepared especially for us

The materials are gold that is pure; pearls like transparent glass and jasper stones

It is built by God.

For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

There will be no more death

There will be no night there

There will be no more curse.

It will be lifted

There will be no more sin.

BECAUSE IT WILL BE A FREE COUNTRY

No house rent to come due—"In my Father's house are many mansions."

No water bill to pay—"And he showed me a pure river of water..."

There will be plenty of room in that city.

Here people are crowded.

According to measurements in Rev. 21:16, this City will be 1500 miles each way

WE WILL KNOW AS WE ARE KNOWN

We will know even as God knows us. Our minds will be perfect and knowledge will be complete.

Mary recognized Jesus after the Resurrection Stephen recognized Christ

Paul recognized Christ when caught up John on the Isle of Patmos

What a glad reunion; families will be reunited; that son, husband, daughter, wife, and all departed Christian loved ones.
