How many of you have been hit by life?
Those of us who can say yes to this understand that we have been going through life by choice, by design, or by force.
What if I told you that everything that you went through that didn’t killed you gives you an undefeated record because of God’s grace and love for your life?
David was one of the first of the unstoppable people in the Bible. There was not a challenge or a Battle that he didn’t face that he didn’t overcome, except one, but for the sake of this message we will deal with the Battles on the field.
What kept David grounded in any Battle?
His life of prayer, worship, and his strong unshakable faith in God. We have to see that there is a subtle innate boost of faith in our times of hardship that we may not ever know is in full activation. There is a subtle belief that God is going to come through again, we don’t know how, but He is.
Today we examine the first part of 2 Samuel 22 verses 1-10
Show them how life comes to beat us up, to wage war on us, and how we may take a beating, and even get to the thin line between life and death. Have the guys surrounding me. Each with a shirt on Debt, Divorce, Depression, Finance, Addiction, Fear, Anxiety, Low Self-Esteem, Rejection, Loneliness (challenges on front and back of shirt. On the front friends, family, spouse, yourself, enemy, mindset, emotions, undisciplined, )
(verse 5 observation)
David spoke of being “assailed” The Greek work is pronounced Lemma which means to be gripped by fear.
So just when you thought that David was fearless this verse right here brings a clear light to this fearlessness that some claimed he carried about himself. I tell people all the time you can deal with the fear later, but you have to do it scared. Doing it fearful makes that victory mean that much more.
