Introduction
Names are important.
Don’t know who someone is without knowing their name.
Who is God?
God appears to Moses
Ex. 3:2-6
I AM the God of your fathers:
The God of Abraham
The God of Isaac
The God of Jacob
God calls Moses
Ex. 3:7-10
Gods sees Israel’s suffering.
God tells Moses to go to Pharaoh to free Israel.
Who am I?
Moses says Who am I to go to Pharaoh.
Ex. 3:11-12
Gods say I am
with
you.
Who are you, Lord?
Moses asks What if they ask who has sent me, what shall I tell them.
Ex. 3:13-18
God says to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”.
The God of your fathers: Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
WRAP-UP
Even during difficult time God, I AM, is
with
us.
I AM hears our suffering.
The “Ever Present One”. He always IS.
I AM is all knowing.
I AM is all powerful.
