“and be wise” wisdom is knowing how to apply knowledge correctly to effect a change in everyday life.

He’d done a stint in jail, good behavior transfered to minimal security, breaks out of travel van, w nothing, begged up enough money from strangers to get a bus to big city, lived on the streets, took odd and ends jobs, bounced around the city in $8/nt hotels, worked in kitchen and eventually met his wife.
