I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
If we think in
Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
The Greek word for ‘take’ firstly means - TO RECEIVE
Hebrew is לקח
First appears in
So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh.
To take up your cross is not about about taking up a burden, but it is the process of engaging and becoming ONE with it.
it appears for a second time:
Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it.
it means to receive - to accept an object or benefit for which the initiative resides with the giver with a focus on the transfer to the recipient
Also ‘ to be taken away’
one of the scriptures associated with that meaning is:
When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, “Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?”
“Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,” Elisha replied.
To take away is to become one with, engage in covenant, hence why one of the meanings of this word is to engage in marriage
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
1 thess 4:14-17
Jesus said, take up your cross and follow me. But Jesus was foreshadowing a position that the sons of God will permanently occupy as opposed to pursue.
Scriptures said it is no longer I who live but Christ who loves with in me, and I live in this current body through face in Jesus Christ.
Living in Christ doesn’t mean that our choices patience and desires are no longer valid, but it means that everything that Christ is, we are.
So we no longer have to pick up across and the night ourselves, but rather, we have to engage our position as being in Christ so that everything that the crosshairs accomplished and set forth with in us so that it can find its living embodiment and expression in and through us.
When Jesus said we need to deny ourselves, it means our passions are no longer directed towards the earthly realm but there are passions and desires are now directed towards the heavenly kingdom towards the spirit realm.
The fact that we no longer live doesn’t mean that we have become invalids. Rather it means that our shortcomings and weaknesses no longer are applicable. If we are everything that Christ is, it means that we no longer come from a position of having to ask. When we ask we come from my position of lack. If we are everything Christ is, then we no longer ask for abundance, we are abundance. We no longer ask for healing, we are healing. We are prosperity.
If creation waits for the revelation of the sons of God to fulfil its purpose, it means we have what creation needs. So in other words being dead in Christ means we have become creation source because of our position. If we have become the source it means we have the resources and through a relationship with Jesus we learn to rather than ask, we engage and connect with what is ours and release it into the physical.
When we ask, we are focusing on the lack of a body and soul. Where is when we focus on being the source in abundance we are looking to our spirit to release.
You see that’s the difference between a Christian and a son of God. A Christian knows he’s saved, he loves Jesus with all his heart, and knows he’s gonna go to heaven. He finds his dependency on Jesus based on his lack, what he doesn’t have, hence being a servant.
However a son of God finds his dependency on Jesus based on his inheritance and his position in Christ.
Being dead in Christ, means through mystical intimacy we connect body soul and spirit to the very life of Christ in bed it was in us so that we may be the living embodiment of him where ever we go. It’s not a striving and performance button effortless resting into the rhythm and whispers of the spirit as we engage rooms and dimensions of the mystical dimensions in secrets of the cross and what it is accomplished. Engaging those accomplishments and releasing them through us.
