What’s in Your Corner? Who sent them?

The true existence of relationships are not found in the highs of your connections, but they are found in your lowest moments. The bible declares: in Prov 17:17 .
So if this is the case that friends love at all times, could that imply that not all will support you? Not all will be there for you when you think you need them the most. Why is that, friends are not built for the journey. Look at friends as the fans at a game they can praise you and boo you in a moments notice when things don’t seem to look right.
A brother on the other hand is with you in the gym helping you become the best player that you can be. The bible is very clear on the characteristics of a friend and a covenant brother/sister. They are similar, but they are extremely opposite in some ways.
Now we are not talking about your biological family members, we are talking about the brothers/sisters that God has placed in your life and having those crucial first responders at a moments notice these brothers.
Today we examine the covenant between the men and the paralytic man.
(Read Scripture)
Examine the 4 elements of this moment:
Men Lowering the Paralytic (The true essence of covenant connections)
Pharisees asking for a Sign (There are people waiting for you to have your moment just to say your God is not who you profess Him to be.)
Scribes Accusing Jesus of Blasphemy (Some “friends” are only upset because it isn’t them doing it for you)
Teachers of the Law (Law is circumvented for miracles, signs and wonders)
Can you see your relationships identified in the first observation? Are you that covenant? Do you have that kind of covenant? Can you count them on 1 hand or 2? Why or Why Not?
What do you believe is the driving force of those like the Pharisees? Why do people have to be such killjoy’s when they can have the same experience?
Some are mad it isn’t them not just that they are not the ones performing what you need done for your situation or life.
Contrary to customs or legalities, God has the final say. There are some people that are waiting to speak against what God is doing in your life and covenant relationships. “You hanging with them… Oh ok, happy for you.... (sarcasm).
The power of covenant comes with an acknowledgement that some of your childhood friendships, and these relationships that you have made God never qualified for you to be in to begin with. Some of these connections need to released, so that you can walk in the freedom of the covenant connections that God has sanctioned.
The ones who have covenant with you have a grace to touch your situation without complicating it, intoxicating it, or making it worse. Don’t let anybody come in and have something to say, do, or interfere with those that have come to see about you and your situation.
There is an untapped measure within your covenants that can produce a fullness of healing, deliverance, and blessing for your life if you just get rid of the clutter. Some people struggle with ending relationships because it creates a hole in their lives that they believe needs to occupy, but not this man He had all that he needed in this moment. These men that were with him notice they are not identified as his friends. These could be individuals that was tired of seeing him in this situation and wanted better for his life.
Stop labeling people and let them prove themselves to you. Check your relational bank and see if you have money in the bank or if you are in the RED. IF you are in the red, find the person or people that keep overdrafting your relational bank account and get rid of them, because they are a relational liability.
There is nothing worse that God having to tack onto our account a ISF (insufficient funds fee) to our accounts because we keep keeping the wrong people in our space, and are ultimately holding us up for the next phase, blessing, and place in our life from God.
It is so interesting how Jesus acknowledged the men as the reason to perform this miracle, and deliver him from this life of being bedridden. He had to have done something that was detestable if you think about it, because countless time Jesus had healed people, delivered people, blessed people, etc, but this one situation Jesus notices something within them that resonated within Himself that made him perform this form of healing. There will be times that when you are going through your covenant relationships are interceding on your behalf and God is hearing them loud and clear while we aren’t even thinking about it, but because God sent them for you they will be able to see into areas of your life that need God’s attention.
My prayer for you while we walk through this message is that you are able to see that we need to be connected to the right people, and if you feel like a loaner just know that God doesn’t see you as somebody that He needs you crowded with a bunch of people, he will send you people like the men that was not looking for anything but, but seeing him whole.
You must know who is in your corner, and who has you held in one! Don’t keep me around for convenience because of certain abilities or because you are silently intimidated by who I am or have become. Test the “bro’s and sis’s” in this season because as it is written that title needs to be tested by way conflict, confrontation, or hardship on one or both ends. Watch who you call friends that can conjure up a conversation of malice in the same breathe or at a moments notice.
Make your time a priority, and don’t chase people to stay connected, let hard times hit and see who shows up. Build ma’am/sir, stay the course and God will give you what you need in a moments notice like these men. They didn’t jock for a position they seen a common person they knew in need and said,” lets get to it, and get him healed.”
Oh and I am sure the man never heard of it again from those men also.
Think about this when God does something does he say,” Yeah I would help you, but you know that last thing that I did for you that you never said thank you for, yeah I am not going to be able to help you this time.” Listen we should just wake up in the morning and just randomly give God a “thank you!” throughout our day because He is doing things around the clock that we are not aware of.
God can also be the Men carrying us to our destination as well. Father, Son, Holy Spirit to the place of wholeness where He desires for us to be.
