Introduction

Some of us get to wrapped up in what we want God to change or do for us rather than what he needs of us or wants from us. But I am here to serve notice, that you came expecting God to move how you want him to but today God is going to move how he sees fit. We have gotten so lost in our expectations that his will has been thrown out the window.

Prayer

I am going to need your prayers today because God has not given me an easy word but I stand here unapologetically dedicated to declaring the word of the most-high God.

Numbers 9:15-19

Today, the Lord would have me to deal with the development of a new attitude in the Church. We as God’s people have developed this mindset that we can do what we want and satisfy the Will of God.
We say we are his chosen people and profess to love him but we have taken every opportunity to fall out of step with him. We have developed this mindset that we are entitled to the blessings and gifts he has for us but are in no way bound to his will.
We expect God to bless a pathway we made for ourselves, and rather than ask God what he would have us to do we would rather dictate to him and ask him to bless that which he gave no authorization.
See a lot of us are eloping with our own ideas and we have not given thought to him who makes all things possible.
But see you cannot claim to follow God and walk in the word if you want to dictate your future to a God that has plans bigger than you can dream for yourself.
So, to that affect my subject today is a simple one, but if you miss this… you have the scriptures.
Therefore, without looking at anybody just declare to yourself; my assignment today… is to Get…. in Position.

Give Subject

Mark 5:22-36

The focus today is not on the healing of Jairus’ daughter, but it is rather the way in which the situation took place.

Jairus and the Woman

Here we have Jairus, who is an administrator in the Synagogue.
Jairus’ daughter is sick unto death (In Matthew 9 she is already dead)
He stopped Jesus in the middle of the street to ask for his daughter to be healed.
In this same passage we have a woman with an issue of blood that has lasted 12 years.
This shows two people in different mental states dealing with different situations
Jairus, a man broken by circumstance who has exhausted all known means to bring his daughter back.
You must understand. In a time before modern medicine, in a time before antibiotics and all manner of medical treatments; sickness means death.
This is a time where if you develop any form of illness, even ones considered common today, there is a high likelihood of death.
Now this man much watch his child suffer and slowly slip away, despite his faith and efforts to the contrary.
Then you have a woman, who has suffered for 12 years, not knowing exactly what was wrong with her but living with sickness nonetheless.
She has agonized for over a decade but she heard that Jesus was passing through and came to the determination that I am going to get what I need regardless of what man says.
She came with enough faith and conviction to obtain healing from the Lord.

Order Your Steps

Some situations will not come with a clear answer. Sometimes God will give you a plain and simple answer to the most complex of situations.
But sometimes he allows you to become broken so he can prove to you that he is God.
And see we run into this problem where grow tired of waiting on the move of God because we have been kneeling in the street too long and have become impatient.
Or we even get tired of following him in what seems like an aimless manner because we just want a touch but he keeps eluding you.
So instead of following “the cloud,” which guides us towards that which he has promised us we try to go direct traffic for ourselves.
But we must get out of this mindset that we can provide and perform for ourselves.
You should think about how insulting it is to God who CAN DO ALL THINGS and has the best plans for you and you brush him off and say nah you took too long.
And I submit to you today you were chasing after God and waiting on God because there was somebody coming along that God wanted you to cross paths with because you hold the key to each other’s blessing.
We have to get out of our own heads and think about those that surround us.

Revelation

If you do not believe me, read the text
In Mark 5:22, we see that Jairus stopped in the street to make a request of Jesus.
In Mark 5:27 We also see that the Woman had to chase the Lord through a crowd of people to receive her impartation and get her healing.
These are two people who had to follow God in their own way to receive their blessing
Jairus had to stop traffic in the middle of the city and kneel down in front of Jesus
The Woman had to chase the Lord down through the streets and touch him.
but neither person got the healing they needed until they both were in one place.
It did not say that Jairus went down the street when the woman came.
What Am I Saying?

Conclusion

We all have a job to do...
Everyone cannot do the same job
Everyone cannot puruse God, their miralce, or their blessing the same way
God is call you to get into your place and walk in your purpose.
We cannot wait on you to get into a crossroads and make your own choices but you must continually follow the cloud by day and the fire by night to ensure that the Holy Ghost is leading and guiding your every step.
You have to shed your earthly expectations put on the expectations of Christ.
Acts 1:7–11 KJV 1900
And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
My commission to you is to quit looking towards the sky. I know we all look forward to the day we can be with God, but while you are here be in lockstep with his will.
Do not build a monument around what God did but praise him and follow him where he takes you. Because you cannot be in position if you hold steadfastly to the past. And be of good courage for the work we have left is great but the reward of being in his service is worth it. And last share with your brothers and sisters. We all hold the key to SOMEONE’s blessing to SOMEONE’s healing and the moment we act upon that knowledge is the moment the enemy will be unable to stop God’s people. Amen.
