If we do not take what Scripture says concerning the presence of Christ with complete seriousness, then we have a wrong understanding of Christ. Then we also have a wrong understanding of his church. Then we have a mental construct of Christ in place of the real Christ, and in place of the real church, in which Jesus Christ is really present according to both his divinity and his humanity, we have a dream church, a mere community of spirits in which Christ is only spiritually present just as he was prior to his incarnation.
Genesis 3:1 LEB
Now the serpent was more crafty than any other wild animal which Yahweh God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God indeed say, ‘You shall not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

Showdown at the ECCLESIA corral

it was an epic day in Churchtown. This was the age of big tents and fresh promises, of grandiose dreams and the premonition of a dynamic battle about to be won or lost.
Indeed, a host of bandits were in the hills, growing more brave by the year, ever coming closer to town while waving their weapons in the air. Though the people of Churchtown slept well at night, small victories were being won over little farms on the outskirts day by day.
The fight was all about the meaning of meaning. It did not take place on little prairies or anywhere near real tumbleweeds. The fight was fought in the dry and dusty towers of academia, Those ivory halls were the rugged hills where the good people of Churchtown did not always tread, and it was there that a few wizened spiritual outlaws managed to take up strongholds from which to launch their long and slow assault.

But I tell you the truth, it is better for you that I go away. For if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.
