Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and
we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son
from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:1, 14
JESUS IS THE PROMISED MESSIAH
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ
has been born of God, and everyone who loves

Good works (James 2:14–17; Ephesians 2:10)
Sharing Saving Faith
1. The Challenge: What are you up against?
DEAD IN SINS
And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you
once walked, following the course of this world, following the
prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in
the sons of disobedience—among whom we all once lived in
the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body
and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the
rest of mankind
Ephesians 2:1–3
BLINDED BY SATAN
In their case the god of this world has blinded the
minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing
the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is
the image of God.
2 Corinthians 4:4
WILLFULLY OPPOSED TO GOD
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all
ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their
unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about
God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his
invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature,
have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in
the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
Romans 1:18–20

LOVE FOR OTHERS
And if anyone’s name was not found written in the
book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
Revelation 20:15
LOVE FOR GOD
“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory
and honor and power, for you created all things, and
by your will they existed and were created.”
Revelation 4:11

WITH MERCY
But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your
most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep
yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy
of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. And
have mercy on those who doubt; (Jude 1:20–22)
Jude 22
WITH INTEGRITY
But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded
ways. We refuse to practice cunning or to tamper
with God’s word, but by the open statement of the
truth we would commend ourselves to everyone’s
conscience in the sight of God.
2 Corinthians 4:2
WITH BOLDNESS
And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to
your servants to continue to speak your word with
all boldness…
Acts 4:29

PROCLAIM THE LAW
For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one
point has become guilty of all of it.
James 2:10
PROCLAIM THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST
For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God
through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we
preach to save those who believe. For Jews demand signs and
Greeks seek wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified, a
stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles…
1 Corinthians 1:21–23
Argument itself will not be enough; God must
intervene. Thus, prayer is the ultimate
apologetic weapon.
