Pastor Kevin McAnulty continues the sermon from last week, A Time of Celebration, Part 2. He speaks about what it takes to come back to the Father, repentance and change. That change somtimes is a process. That sometimes people get instantaneous miracles, and some people have a slow process. He uses the example of the parable of the prodigal son, who requested his inheritance, and then blew the money doing worldy things. He then remembered the life his Father’s servants had. He then went back home. His Father welcomed him back with open arms. This is a picture of repentance and returning to the Father. The oldest son received twice the inheritance, just as Elisha received a double portion anointing from Elijah. This was tradition to the oldest son.
