Lebanon was the lace of Baal worship. Baal was he God of fertility and plenty. With these three references to Lebanon it is almost as if Hosea is forcing us to see God as the supplier of everything

Penance is a self or imposed punishment to bring suffering. Repentance is a denial of self and a turning to God.
It is found when we see Him for who He is.
