The Spiritual sacrifice of praise is called calves to show the end of all sacrifices.

Lebanon was the lace of Baal worship. Baal was he God of fertility and plenty. With these three references to Lebanon it is almost as if Hosea is forcing us to see God as the supplier of everything

Application:

It has an universal demand.

The command is to repent not perform penance.

Penance is a self or imposed punishment to bring suffering. Repentance is a denial of self and a turning to God.

It is found when we see Him for who He is.

Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
