David Plays the Lyre for Saul

Verse 14 - The spirit of the Lord departed from Saul. removed his spirit from the king and allowed an evil spirit to torment him. God This verse is very difficult to understand. The point is that the Lord has rejected Saul as king. Saul can’t be benefited from the divine protection and care. Well, it was caused by Saul’s disobedience. He brought this by himself. He was disobedient and rebellious to the Lord. The sad part is that Saul never repents and comes back to God.
What’s Saul’s condition? Saul was gripped by depression and violent mood swings. He was suffering. So Saul’s servants sgguest that he find someone who has musical skill. It is a great idea. It has been said that, “music hath charms to soothe the savage beast.” Saul needs a savior who can help his depression, madness, and spiritual tragedy.
