Isaiah 40:28-31
Isaiah 40:28-31
The New King James Version Chapter 40
28 Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the LORD,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
31 But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
It is easy to stress and be discouraged when you are tired. All of us get tired at times. Joyce and I took a week trip. We prepared for the journey. All went well. When we returned we thought we were find but by the second day we were both very tired. It became a challenge of the mind to do our daily chores. It seems to effect our emotional health and our patience.
According to Isaiah we are reminded that being tired is being human. However, it may be that our lack of energy and in weakness we are reminded that we need the Lord to restore our energy.
We have children, parents, and our spouse to take care and encourage. We take steps to keep our life simple; however, some things are unavoidable. Our work, meals to prepare, lawns to tend, houses to clean, and errands to run. Sometimes when we are tired it seems that more is placed on our plate.
As humans we experience weariness since the beginning of time. However, the Lord says, “Trust me.” He will renew our strength. We can run and not be weary. We shall walk and not faith. The Word is that God is able to give power to the weak and increase our strength.
Let of Pray
Thank you Lord for your encouragement, love and strength. We lean on you. We want to soar on Your wings.
