“ENTER IN”

Mt. 7:13,14

Introduction: The Bible challenges us to make choices – Deuteronomy 30:15-19; Joshua 24:15; 1 Kings 18:21.

I.            Two Gates

              A.       Strait - compressed, close. Requires effort.  Must not carry “excess baggage.”  Riches, self-

                         righteousness, alcohol, etc.

              B.       Wide gate - easy, no effort. Admits all.

II.          Two Ways

A.      Narrow way - the way of truth and right is narrow. (Illustrate with North Star, or the road to Key West.)

              B.      Broad way— follows all the vain imaginations of men! A “super-highway; “fast; smooth; easy

                        travel.”

III.         Two Companies

A.      Few - not popular, but must be true! (Illustrate:             Days of Noah; wilderness wanderings.)

              B.      Many - Much company.

IV.         Two Destinies

               A.     Life - see Rev. 21:1-4; 22:1-4.

               B.     Destruction - fires of hell; perdition. See Rev. 21:8, 27.

Conclusion:              Remember, Jesus calls us to a life of sacrifice.
