As we arrive at 2 Corinthians 12, we come to the very heart of Paul’s teaching and example on boasting. He’s already talked a lot about his weaknesses, but now he clearly tells us why – because God’s power and grace are revealed and perfected in our weakness. So, this is not just a bonus for God when we go through trials, but is actually a part of his plan for his – so we will depend on him, glory in him and witness him to the world. When we are at risk of flying too high, he will bring us back down to earth and pin us there, so we can look to him and point to him. And his grace will grow and grow and grow in our lives.
