Divine Appointments

!!! Intro
We have talked a lot about worship the past two weeks and how it invites God to be enthroned upon  our lives.
How it should be a part of our everyday lives, and not just in church.
How we should praise Him in spite of our circumstances, because when we are in God’s Presence the miraculous can happen.
Tonight I want us to look at a way we can apply this, and some exciting things that can happen when we become a people of praise.
Tonight we talk about Divine Appointments

Story:  Went to Jewel Osco…man having trouble on the way in…still there on way out, offered help, talking he shared.

\\ !!! I.  Kairos (ka hee ros)Moments
One time in all of history.
It is the one shot deal.
Once it is gone it will never be back.
There are times in life that will be irredeemable no matter how bad you may wish to have it back and do it over.
One chance opportunities, that you can take advantage of or miss.
Kairos witnessing moment.

Divine Appointments
*/John 4:3 (NKJV) He left Judea and departed again to Galilee. 4 But He needed to go through Samaria./*
Jesus with Zaccheus, woman at well in John 4.
These were not chance meetings.
Two lives were radically changed as a result of these meetings with Jesus.
He was at the right place at the right time.
!!!! Taking advantage of…

Couldn’t have a conversation with Jesus without the subject of a relationship with God coming up in a natural way.
John 4 a pattern for witnessing

She redirects toward a controversial subject (the mountain) to keep things from getting personal.
Uses circumstances around…common ground…the water in the well.
Are you sensitive enough to be used in this way.

\\ !!! III Stepping out

One of the important things about divine appointments is being on the look-out for them.
Expecting them to happen.
And being prepared for when they do happen.
This is my challenge.
Pray and have faith that God will hear and answer.
Pray that God will make some Divine Appts.
for you.
Pray that will take advantage of them and that you will be prepared for them.
