Question # 3 Why Did God Make You?

Answer : For His Own Glory

This question is important for all of us to understand. We need to know that we are not here because of some random chance, some big bang, or because we descended from monkeys. Don’t let anyone ever convince you of these things.
Understanding by whom we were made and for what we were made helps us to understand our purpose in life. Helps us to determine how we will live out each day and who we will seek for guidance as we seek to fulfill our Creator’s will for our life.
Let’s review for just a minute, to make sure we understand how we got to question # 3.

Who Made You?

Answer: God

What else did God Make?

Answer : God made all things

This naturally brings us to the third question we are studying this week. Why did God Make You? answer : For His own glory.
Now, we don’t just say this because Pastor Adam told us so do we?
We don’t just believe God made us and all things for his glory, because Pastor Buck and my parents told me so do we. We do believe our parents and pastors, but most importantly we believe these things because the Bible tells us so. God’s inspired, infallible, inerrant Word teaches us these truths and that is why we believe them!
Psalm 19:1 ESV
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
Jeremiah 9:23–24 ESV
Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.”
Revelation 4:11 ESV
“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
