What Shall I Say

Introduction:

Have you ever had those times when you just din’t know what to say God. Maybe in was a time you suffered a lost, the death of a love one and the pain was so great you just could not find the words to say anything. Maybe it was a time when you were confused about something, or it was one of those times we need to repent but out of shame or embarrassment you could not bring yourself to pray. Or maybe it was a time that only you know about. What ever the circumstances were it was a time of uncertainty and weakness in our lives. Well know that the apostle Paul had discovered his own weakness and he reminds us “Three times I appealed to the Lord about this, that it would leave me, but he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10. So, the question for us this morning, is what do we do when we don’t know what to say, where do we turn when we are speechless. Walk with me , as we wrestle with our text.

26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. 27 And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. 28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
