Summary: If God delays the coming of Jesus we will all go by the way of the grave - What then?

Introduction:
Share thoughts from a funeral you have overseen…
• If God delays the coming of Jesus we will all go by the way of the grave - What then?
I. All of us will leave some kind of mark when we leave this world.
A. What kind of mark will you leave?
1. Only one life twill soon be past. - We get just one go-around!
B. Only what’s done for Christ will last.
1. Focus on what matters! (The message of Calvary)
2. You can leave money and that will eventually get spent or replaced.
3. You can leave a beautiful home and it will eventually fall down.
4. You can leave a very expensive car that speaks of your social place in society but it will eventually end up in the junk-yard!
• Your Legacy, (Your belief System) is the only thing that you can leave that will stand the test of time until Jesus comes!
II. Now, more than ever… I Will Not Quit!
A. I’ll keep praying and fasting
1. 2 Chronicles 7:14-1514 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.
2. Mark 9:23-29 (Jesus delivers a young man with a deaf and dumb spirit)

23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. 24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. 25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. 26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead. 27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose. 28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? 29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

B. I’ll stay in the Word and work it
C. I’ll keep believing for Revival
III. This is War - It’s time to take a stand and be silent no more for Christ.
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
A. The days of pathological Christianity are over. (No more “quietly serving Him)
B. It’s war for our identity as a nation and as a Christian
C. It’s war to defeat the enemy of our soul
2 Corinthians 10:3-6
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
D. It’s war for our families
1. We need to do more than just “pray” for our families. We need to go to spiritual war for them.
2. Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Closing: A Call to be completely sold out to Christ
Matthew 16:24–28 KJV 1900
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
