Matthew 8:28–34 ESV
28 And when he came to the other side, to the country of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men met him, coming out of the tombs, so fierce that no one could pass that way. 29 And behold, they cried out, “What have you to do with us, O Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?” 30 Now a herd of many pigs was feeding at some distance from them. 31 And the demons begged him, saying, “If you cast us out, send us away into the herd of pigs.” 32 And he said to them, “Go.” So they came out and went into the pigs, and behold, the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea and drowned in the waters. 33 The herdsmen fled, and going into the city they told everything, especially what had happened to the demon-possessed men. 34 And behold, all the city came out to meet Jesus, and when they saw him, they begged him to leave their region.

Holy Angels

Cautions Regarding Our Relationship to Angels.

Beware of Receiving False Doctrine from Angels: (2 Cor. 11:14)
Do not worship Angels, Pray to Them, or seek them: (Col. 2:18; Rev. 19:10; 1 Tim. 2:5)
The use of “Angel” to refer to Holy Angels is scattered throughout the Old testament:
The Historical Books: 7 times in Genesis, 1 Kings, & 2 Chronicles
etc (see picture)

Holy Angel’s Reality

Personhood

Angels possess the three identifiable traits of personhood: Intellect, emotions, and will.
Angels are wise beings (2 Samuel 14:20) who can converse (Matt. 28:5, sing (Job 38:7) and worship (Heb. 1:6)
Angels have the capacity for emotion. Angels are joyful over the repentance of sinners (Luke 15:10). They fear God in worship with awe, and wonder, and respect (Heb. 1:6)
Angels posses a will with which they choose to worship God (Heb. 1:6; Rev. 5:11). They also have a strong desire to understand things related to salvation (1 Peter 1:10-12)

Personal Qualities

Angels are beings created by God. (Ps. 148:2-5; Col. 1:16)
Angels are spirit beings (Heb. 1:14)
By Christ’s definition, a spirit is immaterial, one without flesh and bones (Luke 24:39)
Holy Angels are elect angels (1 Tim. 5:21)
Angels are mobile to the extent that they are able to travel from heaven to earth and back to heaven again (Gen. 28:12; Jn. 1:51)
Angels are without gender (Matt. 22:30; Mark 12:25; Luke 20:35-36). They cannot reproduce after their own kind.
Angels are ageless
