Intro
As we enter this new year I want us to take a good hard look at who we are. There are several things that we excel at. I am so proud of all of you the way that you reach out to those who come in here on Wednesdays for the first time. I am also thankful that we are able to have a multi-cultural outreach, that there is no ignorant racism that is found here. We celebrate and laugh at our differences because there is a foundation of love and acceptance. There truly are a lot more that I could mention, but don’t have time to be able to. The one thing that I want to focus on is an area that we must improve upon. That is in the area of giving. Not just in the area of finances, though that is a big part, but over all.
Missions Giving- a mark of maturity
It is one sure fire way to test the scale of life of any ministry.
Gave 362.88 to STL last year
Gave over $1,500 to ALO last year.
In a group this size we should be able to give over $5,000 easily.
The heart of God beats for the lost. It is His consuming passion. It is why you have been rescued from Hell as well as a meaningless life.
To have a missions mentality is to say that you have taken your eyes off of your own wants, needs, & desires and have placed a priority on what is most important to the Lord.
It is to be absolutely consumed by the truth that there are billions of people around the world that have yet to hear the full truth
Perhaps you don’t believe that you can impact this entire world. God is looking for dreamers that will believe Him when He says “Through Me you can do ALL things!”
