Just Flush It!

Matthew 15:15–20 KJV 1900
Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable. And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding? Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
I started my week off as usual talking with my mentor Bro. Paul.
He was telling me about a message he gave last week, and I found it interesting.
When I read Matthew 15:17, I thought that it would make a good sermon.
Matthew 15:17 KJV 1900
Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
I never heard the word “draught” before.
Now I heard of people using these words to describe their waist disposal place .
The John
The Toilet
The Bathroom
The Restroom
The Long Drop
The Head
The Latrine
The Pot
The Men’s Room or Little Boy’s Room
The Ladies Room or Little Girl’s Room,
Even the powder room.
But I never heard the word “draught”.
And I did look it up to make sure I understood the meaning of that word.
The “draught” is an out house, and as I was studying this scripture, I thought there are a lot of things we just need to flush.
I titled this message: “Just Flush It!”

I. Things We Need To Flush.

We should flush “Gossip” in or out of church.
We need too flush, talking about people.
We all do it at time.
It is human nature to talk about people.
But, if there is one thing we need to flush, that’s talking about people.
We don’t need to be doing that because it defiles and destroys the heart.
We need to find reasons to talk, but good things to talk about one another.
If you have a problem with gossip church, just flush it!
Take it to the draught!
We should flush our “bad attitudes”.
We all get them from time to time, but we should flush it.
No one wants to be around a person who is an old sour puss.
A person with their face all scrawled or pruned up like they just were sucking on some persimmons.
Rolling your eye, because us can’t stand what’s being said.
How can you be an effective witness for Jesus Christ with a bad attitude.
You need to flush, Letting your mind wonder during my preaching.
You come to church to worship and learn about the Lord.
Stop worrying about what’s on television, what people are doing on Facebook, what’s the score of the game.
Just flush it.
Start coming to church with a convictive heart.
Listen to God’s Word
Let the Holy Spirit deal with you.
We need to flush “unforgiveness” from our lives.
We have to stop holding things against each other.
There are two main reasons why your prayers don’t get answered.
Unforgiven sin in your life.
Unforgiveness in your life
The Bible tells us about not forgiving each other.
Matthew 6:14–15 KJV 1900
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Just flush all this unforgiveness
Stop holding grudges against each other.
especially your brothers and sisters in Christ.
We need to flush our “hot tempers”.
A lot of us including, myself has an explosive temper.
Having a hot temper is not Christ like, nor will it make you and effective witness.
Having a temper and getting mad in its self in not a sin
What you do with that temper when you get mad, makes it a sin.
What do we do with our tempers?
We cuss, or use the Lord’s name in vain.
We break things
We throw things at people.
We get into physical altercations with people.
We argue with people.
All this make us an ineffective witness for Jesus Christ.
What does the Bible say about anger.
James 1:19–20 KJV 1900
Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
Proverbs 15:1 KJV 1900
A soft answer turneth away wrath: But grievous words stir up anger.
Ephesians 4:31–32 KJV 1900
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Just flush your hot temper.
We need to flush our unfaithfulness.
I can say, most of everyone here today, is faithful.
As a pastor I’m very thankful of that.
The month of October is pastor appreciation month.
And there is nothing in the world to show your appreciation to a pastor, then to fill up the pews.
I don’t need gifts or money for people to show their appreciation.
Just come when the doors are open.
There are some that only come, when they feel like it.
Or when they don’t have something more important to do.
We need to flush unfaithfulness.
We need to flush having a “Critical Spirit” stop being judgmental.
We are all guilty at times being critical or judge one another.
There is not any of us that lives on this plant that are perfect.
It doesn’t make you look any better being critical or judging a person.
It make you look like a self-righteous bully.
We should be trying to lift each other up, not tear each other down.
We need to flush “heaven without Jesus” belief.
Jesus Himself told us He is the only way.
John 14:6 KJV 1900
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Only by the true Gospel of Jesus Christ can a person get saved.
Flash this Oprah Winfrey, Joel Osteen, false gospel of there are many paths to God.
The Bible says, it’s by the grace of God, that we are saved.
Ephesians 2:8–9 KJV 1900
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Salvation is a gift from God.
John 3:16 KJV 1900
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
I can say, God loves you more then I love you, because I not going to sacrifice my only son for you.
Maybe one of my daughters, I have extra of them.
We have to flush the false doctrine of Heaven without Jesus.
We need to flush, “pride”
Pride is one of the six things the Lord hates.
Proverbs 6:16–19 KJV 1900
These six things doth the Lord hate: Yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, Feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, And he that soweth discord among brethren.
Pride cometh before a fall.
Look at one of God’s top angels.
His “5” I Will’s
Isaiah 14:12–14 KJV 1900
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
If we truly got what we deserve we would be burning in hell right at this moment.
We all are a bunch of dirty, rotten, no good for nothing sinners.
That’s nothing to be prideful about.
We need to flush pride right down the draught.
We need to flush the “fear of death”
If you are truly saved by the blood of Jesus Christ.
You won’t die.
Your flesh will die, but not your soul.
God will give you a new body
one without:
Sin
Pain
Suffering
A righteous body, that will never die.
The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 5: 8.
2 Corinthians 5:8 KJV 1900
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
The Bible is simply tell us, if your saved, the moment you die, you are in the presents of the Lord.
Something else that will comfort you when you die.
You are escorted by angels to the presents of the Lord.
Luke 16:22 KJV 1900
And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
We need to flush the fear of death.

II. Things We Should Never Flush.

Keep These Things!
Your love for your brothers and sisters in this room, this is your church.
We’re related in here, we got the same blood.
We are all related to Jesus Christ.
When we got saved, we all became relates
because of the blood of Jesus Christ.
Never stop loving each other.
You say, pastor, “I never stop loving the church.”
You get your feelings hurt, you could.
I might preach something you might not like.
Do something you don’t like.
Maybe one of your brothers or sisters you have confidence in miss up.
Just remember, you messed you and we stuck together with you.
Ladies and gentleman, I’m trying to tell you there are somethings you should never flush it the draught.
We should love every brother and sister, and have confidence in each other.
I’m trying to say, that’s what makes a good church.
That’s why Faith Bible Baptist Church is so, special.
We love one another, we stand by one another, we care for one another.
Most importantly we love the Lord, we are hungry to learn more about the Lord.
You can always find a reason to be offended, even if it wasn’t intentional.
But it can happen.
We are starting to grow, and because of that growth.
Satan, is going to start attacking this church.
We have to stand together, and fight back.
We have to keep this.
We never need to flush this.
We must hold to our principles.
We have six “Biblical” Principles for this church, that we follow:
We preach the True Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone we meet.
We don’t judge people for their past deeds.
We treat everyone the same, as family.
We welcome everyone and anyone.
We lift each other up.
We can never flush It.
Never flush your confidence in the Blood.
Jesus shed His blood at the cross, you know that!
Have confidence in the blood, because He will for give you of everything you ever done.
You can bring those sins to the Lord and the blood will cleanse you.
I don’t care if you messed up this week, bring it to the Lord.
You say well I:
I, cussed
I, thought something I shouldn’t have thought.
I, got mad at someone.
Bring it to the Lord!
Glory be your going to mess up, your going to make a mistake, your human, not perfect.
Again if we got what we deserve we would be burning in hell.
Praise God, He sent His Son, to die on the cross, because God knew we were going to mess up.
Keep that confidence in the shed blood of Jesus Christ,.
Without the blood, there is no remission!
Never lose confidence in your salvation.
You say, preacher, “Why would you say that!”
Because sometime when a person messes up big time.
they say, “I can’t be saved, doing something like that.”
“I keep trying Bro. Mike, but I just keep messing up”
“I can’t be saved.”
When God saved you, He saved you because you can’t make it by yourself!
He saved you because your not perfect.
He saved you because your not sinless.
All you have to do, is bring that sin or sins to Jesus Christ,.
He will forgive you, all you have to do is bring it to Him.
My Bible tells me.
1 John 1:9 KJV 1900
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Bring it to the Lord, ask for, forgiveness, and Just Flush That Sin In The Draught!
Never flush your confidence in your Prayer Life.
You say, “I’m going to stop praying because God want answer my prayers.
While maybe, you have something hindering your life.
You have some sin in your life, and you haven’t ask God to forgive you yet.
God expects us to confess our sins.
He said if you don’t do it, I can’t here you.
Thank God, you can bring those sins to Him, and by the blood of Jesus Christ.
It’s covered by that blood, and you can go back praying with a clean heart.
Quit, giving up on your prayers
Quit giving upon your prayer life.
Keep praying to God.
He might not answer the way we want, but never flush your prayer life.
Never flush God’s Promises.
God keeps His promises.
He will never leave you!
You say, “well God forsake His Son!”
That’s because He became sin when, He was on the cross.
He died on that cross, was resurrected, and now sits on the right hand of God.
Making intersessions for us.
He said He is preparing a place for us.
John 14:2 KJV 1900
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
God Never Breaks His Promises!
He say’s, “We are His forever.
We, can’t lose it.
John 10:28 KJV 1900
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Let me say, “To have all that He promised, you have to know Him personally!”
Do you know Him!
If you don’t, It’s time right now.
Just Flush that old life in the draught.
