The Foundation Of God Standeth Sure

INTRODUCTION:

The foundation of God standeth sure because of God’s Word, God’s work, and God’s will. In order to be safe, secure and sure, stand on God’s foundation.

I. THE FINISHED WORK OF THE SAVIOUR. Heb. 1:1–3

A. It stands on the sinless sacrifice of Christ.

B. Its strength is never exhausted.

C. It’s sufficient for time and eternity.

II. THE FINAL AUTHORITY OF THE SCRIPTURES. 2 Tim. 3:16

A. All has been said that God intended to say.

B. All has been done that God intends to do.

C. All will be fulfilled.

III. THE FACTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT’S SUPERIORITY.

A. He enlightens the believer in the will of God.

B. He endows a permanent funding to the believer.

C. He energizes for the task to be performed.

IV. THE FAITHFULNESS OF THE SAINTS STANDING. Phil. 1:27–30

A. Faithful in our going with the Good News.

B. Faithful in our giving to God’s cause.

C. Faithful in our growing in Grace as believers.

V. THE FUNDAMENTALS OF THE CHURCH’S SPIRITUAL STRENGTH. Eph 1:3–10

A. The church as a building fitly framed.

B. The church as the Bride of Christ without blemish.

C. The church as the body of Christ banded together.

VI. THE FAITH OF THE BELIEVER’S SALVATION. 2 Tim. 1:12

A. Our faith is personal. We believe for ourselves.

B. Our faith is in a person, The Lord Jesus Christ.

C. Our faith is powerful because of His promises.
