Get in line with His purposes
Everybody has needs…everybody has requests, imagine what chaos it would be if everybody got everything they wanted…
John 15:7 (NKJV) "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you."
Hannah out of her barrenness gave birth
Not because she prayed…lots of people pray and don’t get what they want.
She got in line with the purposes and timing of God.
Corrupt and incompetent leadership…it was TIME for a champion to arise
God needed a man to serve as prophet and priest.
Hannah made a promise to give the child to the Lord, and she FOLLWED THROUGH.

Be willing to Be nothing
Nothing more said of Hannah. She decreased, as Samuel increased.
There’s no limit to what can be accomplished when aggressive people aren’t concerned about the credit.
If only as the Lord blessed we were able to decrease instead of increase.
“My calling” & “My ministry” etc.

Be Willing to Sacrifice
that which you have hoped and dreamed for
Abraham was going to sacrifice the promised son that he had waited over 20 years for.
Takes absolute trust in the Lord, and the only way absolute trust can be established is by trial and test.
At junctures you will have to be tested.
God won’t let your success or dream or answer become more important to you than Him
You can have it all, you just can’t let IT have you.
If all you have is 5 loaves and 2 fish then you need to be willing to give it up.
1 Kings 17:8-16 (NKJV) "Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.” So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, indeed a widow was there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said, “Please bring me a little water in a cup, that I may drink.” And as she was going to get it, he called to her and said, “Please bring me a morsel of bread in your hand.” So she said, “As the Lord your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die.” And Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son. For thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the Lord sends rain on the earth.’ ” So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days. The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke by Elijah."
Shady televangelist?
Before every great miracle there is always a sacrifice.
May not be great in other people’s eyes but to you it is a precious thing.
That’s why sometimes God will ask for things in your life…like trusting in Him for the way to date and have relationships, what kind of music to listen to, or whatever. It isn’t legalism, it is the pathway to blessing!
