Passion Movie DQ’s

Intro

Try to lead them to discover some of their own beliefs and help steer them in the right direction even as you prepare them to minister to their friends.  Tonight is training that they should remember, and write down so that they can minister to the Lost not only for the Passion, but for the rest of their lives.

Reminder:  Those that did not get their money in should go to the theatre ASAP (tomorrow) and buy tickets for the Passion for the 6pm show on Wed.  Also they should purchase at least one extra ticket for a friend they are planning to invite.

1.     Who is Jesus?

a.     Fully God – John Chapter 1, Colossians 1:16

b.     Fully Man – He was born, He was hungry, He was tempted like we are, yet didn’t give into sin.  Hebrews 2:9-10, 14-18

c.      Savior of the world John 3:16

d.     The Creator Colossians 1:16,17

e.      Friend, intercessor, high priest, etc.

2.     Where is Jesus now?

a.     Seated at the right hand of God in Heaven interceding (praying) for us…cheering us on.

3.     How is Jesus different from other heads of religions?

a.     Mohammed, Buddha, etc. are dead.  Jesus is alive was taken up into Heaven.

b.     He is God Almighty who took on the form of  man.

c.      He split time in half.  B.C and A.D.  No one else has come close to impacting the world like He did, (and continues to…)

4.     Why did Jesus have to suffer and die such a terrible death?

a.     Isaiah tells us that “by His stripes we are healed.” Or as The Message puts it: Isaiah 53:4-6 (The Message) "But the fact is, it was our pains he carried— our disfigurements, all the things wrong with us. We thought he brought it on himself, that God was punishing him for his own failures. But it was our sins that did that to him, that ripped and tore and crushed him—our sins! He took the punishment, and that made us whole. Through his bruises we get healed. We’re all like sheep who’ve wandered off and gotten lost. We’ve all done our own thing, gone our own way. And God has piled all our sins, everything we’ve done wrong, on him, on him."

b.     Romans 3:23 (NIV) "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"

c.      Romans 6:23 (NIV) "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

d.     Romans 5:8 (NIV) "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

e.      Romans 10:9-10 (NIV) "That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

Romans 10:13 (NIV) "for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”"

5.     What happens if my friend(s) gets saved?

a.     You must take on the role of shepherd to that person…you have to “pastor” them as much as you can.  Invite them to church, pray with them, set an example as much as possible for them to follow.

b.     Let them know that you are not perfect and are still learning, but that you can help each other.

Leader,

You should close your time together with prayer for those that are going to be there that need the Lord, and create a “go get ‘em” team atmosphere.
