Politics and Religion

Perspective

Our true citizenship is in heaven (Philippian 3:20).

God is the ultimate authority over everyone and everything (Romans 13:1-4).

Our true citizenship gives us a hope that doesn’t exist elsewhere.

No matter who the ruler is, we have Kingdom’s work to do (1 Timothy 2:1-7).

Participation

We should all be voting and praying based on the values of the kingdom.

Some may be called to hold office.

We have a responsibility to stand for truth.

The way we make our stand is to make a difference as well (Ephesians 4:29, Colossians 4:6).

We need to remember the bigger issues at stake.
